With this type of watering, the water consumption from evaporation is minimal. The above ground part of the plants (leaves, flowers and stems) of the plants remain dry, which protects them from the formation of fungal diseases. The soaker hose is also suitable for underground irrigation, whereby the water reaches the plant roots directly and irrigates the root system and the soil in depth.
