Purpose:

SPAHTELZID is a dry putty mix of finely ground fillers, white gypsum and additives, which enables an ideal smoothing when plastering. The product can be used for latex painting repairs. The monofibers, added mineral fillers and polymers incorporated in the putty give additional crack resistance. The main use of the product is for filling joints and plastering gypsum fibreboard and plasterboard, as well as for gluing corner profiles when forming columns, beams and other external corners in dry rooms. It can also be used for bonding gypsum plasterboard and gypsum fiberboard to walls, in which case the contact surface is pre-treated with TERAZID G-22.

Consumption rate:

Plastering - from 0.300 to 0.500 kg/m² dry mass

Joint filling - the consumption depends on the size of the joint (for 12.5 mm thick boards - about 0.500 kg/m²)

For the complete dissolution of 15 kg of SPAHTELZID about 6.0 liters of water are required. Pour the required amount of dry mixture into a pre-prepared container of water and stir with a mechanical stirrer until a homogeneous mass is achieved. The mixture thus stirred is allowed to stand for 5 minutes to 'ripen', after which it is stirred again and is ready for use. It is not necessary to stir the finished solution during handling or to dilute it further with water.

Before starting work: the boards must be securely installed, free from grease stains, dust and other construction debris. Joints must be thoroughly cleaned and dust-free. Laying on oil grease stains, dust and other contaminants is not allowed.
