Purpose:

Norgips BONDING FIX gypsum adhesive for bonding plasterboard and insulation materials indoors. Gypsum adhesive designed for bonding gypsum plasterboards, which perform the function of dry plaster, to vertical surfaces inside buildings. The boards can be glued on ceramic, concrete, gypsum and lime-cement substrates. Insulation materials (mineral wool, styrofoam) can also be bonded to the above surfaces.

The substrate must be sound, dry, free of grease, dust, and loose particles. Depending on the absorption capacity and adhesion of the substrate, the substrate must be primed before the boards are glued.

Consumption rate:

5 kg/m2 (spot bonding of 12.5 mm thick boards)

6 kg/m2 (spot bonding of 9.5 mm thick boards)

The adhesive should be spread on the edges of the back surface of the boards. On the remaining surface the adhesive should be applied in a spot pattern, with a diameter of the spot spread of about 10 cm in two rows, at a distance of 30-35 cm. The thickness of the spot adhesive should be min. 1,5 cm. The adhesive can also be applied with a 10 mm comb.

The board should then be placed vertically on wedges about 1-1,5 cm thick and pressed against the wall. Once the adhesive has started to cure, the position of the boards must not change.

The joints between the boards should be finished with builder's mortar to Q1 level. The prepared joint can then be subjected to finishing, if necessary, defined as putty level Q2, Q3 or Q4 (see related products).
