Application:

Knauf building boards GKB are composed of a gypsum core wrapped and tightly glued with a strong resistant layer of white colored paper. The surfaces of the paper are different according to the application and the specific type of the board, and the core may contain additives that give additional properties. They are used for wall and ceiling coverings on metal profile structures, pre-wall coverings, partition walls and suspended ceilings.

Plasterboards have a long life, a good aesthetic appearance, a perfectly smooth surface, a clean composition that does not endanger the health of people and the environment. Gypsum does not contain toxic components (it consists of calcium, sulfur, oxygen and water) and has an acid reaction similar to that of human skin. Working with plasterboard is easy and takes relatively little time.

Processing of the boards:

A panel saw, panel knife or pattern knife is used to cut the boards. After cutting the board, the edges are smoothed and chamfered with an edge planer. This makes plastering the boards easier. The cardboard must not be torn along the cut line under any circumstances.
