Purpose:

KNAUF Vidiwall gypsum fibreboards are used in all areas of drywall construction, including kitchens and bathrooms in homes or similar purpose rooms. They are fixed to wooden or metal structures. With a straight SK edge the boards are installed with a joint ½ the thickness of the board, which is filled with Knauf Uniflott jointing material. Gypsum boards up to 12.5 mm thick are cut with a jig knife and broken through the edge of the staging. The broken edge can be aligned with a face plane and cleaned of dust (especially necessary when laying with an open or glued joint). Clean edges can be achieved with a pendulum saw or circular saw (aspiration to be used). Suitable means should be used for fixing the Vidiwall boards depending on the main supporting structure. The panels are mounted with screws, nails, paper clips. Fixing on wooden structures is done with nails and clamps (DIN 1052), galvanized or with other corrosion-resistant coating. It is possible to fasten one panel on top of another in the case of double-layer cladding. The panels are fastened to the metal or wooden structure with rapide screws. The external cladding is robust and is built up in a short time. Plaster and putty, wood and PVC cladding, ceramics can be applied on top of the gypsophaser. Very used in the construction of prefabricated buildings.

* Gypsum phaser is baked gypsum with 20 percent secondary paper overmilled to cellulose fibers.The boards are long-life, clean composition that does not endanger human health and the environment. Gypsum contains no toxic components (it consists of calcium, sulfur, oxygen and water) and has an acid reaction similar to that of human skin.
