Purpose:

Knauf building boards GKB are composed of a gypsum core, wrapped and tightly glued with a strong resistant layer of green paper. The paper surfaces vary according to the application and the specific type of board, and the core may contain additives that give additional properties. They are used to clad walls and ceilings on metal profile construction, especially as fire protection boards in specially damp rooms e.g. bathrooms in residential buildings.

Properties, characteristics, technical parameters:

Surfaces and edges along the length, covered with special resistant cardboard
Green card with red printing on the back of the board
With marking of the profile location in case of stenciled walls
Marking of the prescribed locations of the rapide screws in case of stenter walls

Processing of the panels:

Use a panel saw, panel knife or layout knife to cut the panels. After cutting the board, the edges are smoothed and chamfered with an edge planer. This makes it easier to putty the boards. The cardboard should never be torn along the cut line.
