Purpose:

AQUAPANEL AUTDOR KNAUF cement board is composed of mineral components (keramsite and perlite), a binder (Portland cement) and a covering layer of Portland cement and features two fiberglass reinforcement meshes on the back and front surfaces for added strength. The edges are cut at 90 degrees and reinforced with a smooth finish (EasyEdge™). Cross edges are cut vertically. The Easy Edge®. Longitudinal resistant edge is wrapped with mesh that is embedded in the cementitious building board to achieve additional strengthening and allow simplified joint treatment. Knauf AQUAPANEL® boards are manufactured and controlled in accordance with European Technical Approval ETA-07/0173 issued by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik on 10.06.2008.

The cementitious fiberboards are an environmentally friendly material. They do not contain phenolic, formaldehyde and other poisonous compounds. The main binding chemical is cement. The boards are produced by pressing a moulded mixture consisting of softwood sawdust, Portland cement, mineral substances and water. The separation of dust, gases and steam from the slabs is impossible, thanks to the mineralisation of the substances contained and the production technology used. In the event of a fire on the premises, the slabs do not produce smoke, toxic gases or steam.
