Application:

Epoxy surface treatment and primer for all types of rusty surfaces. BERNER transforms rust into a durable primer. Aerosol Rust Preventers are designed to treat metal surfaces that have been exposed to corrosion and rust. They are very effective in the repair and restoration of a wide range of items, from cars and machinery to all types of metal products. These products contain chemically active substances that react with rust (iron oxides) and convert it into a stable layer that prevents new rust from forming. At the same time, the rust converter creates a protective layer against new corrosion on the metal, which can then be painted or further treated. Once the rust has been converted, the metal becomes more resistant to moisture and other aggressive conditions. The aerosol form allows for even and convenient application, even in hard-to-reach areas. Rust converters can convert even thick and old rust into a stable layer.

Aerosol Rust Converter Instructions for Use:

Surface Preparation - Thoroughly clean rusted areas from dust, dirt, oils and other contaminants. You can use a metal brush or sandpaper. Shake the aerosol well before use and spray from a distance of 20-30cm to ensure even mixing of the ingredients in the balloon. Spray the Rust Converter evenly onto the rusted areas in 2-3 thin wet-on-wet coats from a distance of about 20 cm. Thoroughly cover all rusted areas. Allow to dry for about 20-30 minutes to obtain the best effect. Painting (optional) - Once the rust has been converted, the surface should be sanded for optimum adhesion before painting to protect the metal from new corrosion.

Tips:

After use, turn the vial back over and spray to clear the nozzle
For two-part coatings, pre-testing is recommended.
