LIGHTS

Lighting not only performs aesthetic functions but is very important for health reasons and can prevent energy consumption.

Artificial lighting is divided into interior and exterior. Interior lighting is:

• Basic- this type of artificial lighting provides the necessary light for free movement in enclosed spaces in the absence or insufficiency of natural light. Basic lighting is present in almost every interior room and is installed near the ceiling and in the center of the room to provide better light diffusion.
• Local- it provides sufficient light in specific areas of the general room to help accomplish certain activities such as reading, cooking, hobbies, studying or working. This type of lighting comes from a variety of sources that have an aesthetic role in addition to a functional one.
• Directional- this type of lighting is intended to accentuate through light a person's attention to a particular object or shape. This can be a work of art, a plant, an object in the furniture or architecture of the room. Directional, or accent lighting, has a primarily aesthetic role.

To each of these types belong different lights, which in combination provide the necessary light in confined spaces.
