WOODEN PARTICLES BOARDS

Plywood is a wood material made of thin, cross-glued veneers. Its high resistance is achieved by arranging the veneer layers so that the direction of the fibers of every two adjacent layers is at an angle of 90°. The boards consist of at least three layers of veneer with a nominal thickness between 1.4 to 3.2 mm. For exterior applications, plywood must receive adequate surface treatment and the edges must be protected from moisture penetration. The properties of plywood depend on the type of wood, the thickness of the veneer, the thickness of the plywood itself, as well as the direction of the fibers. The quality of the outer layer of veneer does not affect the strength of the plywood.

Oriented particle boards OSB 2 - usually, with the main application in the construction industry. Oriented particle boards are produced from 100% softwood. The long and thin particles are arranged in three transversely oriented layers. This technology, known from the production of plywood, and the overlay of veneer particles (95 mm / 0.65 mm) guarantee dimensional stability and very high mechanical resistance. Oriented particle boards are high-quality materials that have largely replaced plywood in the construction industry. High compressive strength, good lateral stability and bright surface providing an attractive appearance make OSB boards a competitive material with wide application.
