READY MIXTURES

The biggest advantage when working with ready-made (paste-like) construction mixtures for putty or waterproofing is the long (open) time during which the ready-to-lay solution remains usable. It allows calm and careful work, which is a prerequisite for obtaining quality putty or insulation. Moreover, in practice, the material is completely consumed without the risk of solidification and having to be discarded.

Another advantage is the ease with which the ready mixes are applied. Unlike ordinary gypsum mortar, the ready-made putty is more plastic and applies and spreads much lighter and softer, and the surface is easily smoothed to the point of obtaining a completely smooth surface without leaving traces of the edges of the steel trowel . This is helped by the slower and smoother hardening of the putty, so that the layer that has already been applied and has begun to harden slightly can be finally smoothed out with the trowel.

Another significant advantage of plastering with these materials is their very good adhesion to the base, as long as it is properly prepared. After hardening, this type of putty also has a fairly high hardness, which is especially important for walls that are often hit or scratched. In addition to everything said so far, when working on thicker layers, the putty does not crack.

Work with stainless steel tools, because otherwise rust spots will inevitably appear.

An extremely smooth surface with a uniform color is obtained, which allows it to be left in its natural form without being painted. This is also an advantage when using white or other light-colored latex paint, because it is not necessary to apply more layers to hide the color spots on the base.

If necessary, after the putty has hardened, the surface can be further smoothed with a sanding sheet.

There are ready-made mixtures that, in addition to putty, are also used for gluing plasterboard plates, as well as various decorative elements (sockets, cornices, etc.) made of plaster or porous materials.
