PAINTING TOOLS AND ACCESSORIES
The right choice of the right tools and accessories, according to the paint and the surface, plays a decisive role in the optimization and vision of priming and painting. In recent years, traditional natural fibers have been replaced by synthetic and mixed with natural materials, as the fibers are elastic, provide high paint absorption and uniform application.
For quality performance and good vision, it is important to observe the following principles:
- The larger the painted surface, the shorter the fiber of the roller should be
- The rougher the wall (facade), the longer the fiber of the roller should be
- The higher the viscosity of the paint, the shorter the roller fiber should be
- When in doubt, use a roller with a shorter fiber
- Before using the roller for the first time, wash it in soapy water or in solvent if the roller is rated for solvent-based paints. Remove the water (solvent) from the absorbent coating. This method increases the absorption of the paint on the roller and removes the microfibers left by its production process.
