CEMENT SCREEDS

Cement screeds are suitable for all floors, as well as for all living spaces, including garages and wet rooms. It is suitable for laying under any type of final covering.

The solution is applied on a well-cleaned and moistened surface of the structure (concrete pavement, concrete slab, etc.). The thickness of the layer is 2-2.5 cm, and when it is used only for alignment - 1-1.5 cm. They are laid only in one layer, well aligned with trowels, after which they are smoothed. For rooms with high traffic, screeds are used, in the solution of which hard materials are added - hard sand or hard sawdust. During their laying and several days after, the screeds must be protected from direct solar heating, so as not to crack. It is good to fill them with water as soon as the solution starts to harden. Depending on its purpose and the performance of the front surface, the cement screed is smoothed, glossed and grapped.

Curtained: Smoothed with a perdashena, sprinkling with a little water. It has a fine-grained surface.

Glossy (Polished): The face surface is smoothed with a trowel (steel spatula), adding cement and water. It has a smooth surface and is used for waterproofing and for flooring in rooms that need to be precisely cleaned.

Roughened: The top surface of this screed is rolled with profiled steel rollers to give it a rough surface. It is used for ramps, garages and in other cases where there is a danger of slipping.

Some screeds are extremely suitable for underfloor heating, especially when the heat storage properties of the screed are relevant to the project. The screeds can be applied as connected, as floating (certain thicknesses) or without additional additives for floor heating (minimum 45 mm + the diameter of the heating pipes).
