BRUSHES
Brushes, round, flat, squeegee, radiator brushes, brushes with artificial or natural hair, brushes for cutting and painting small areas, facade brushes, water-based paint brushes, thinner-based paint brushes, low viscosity paints and materials
Remember that a medium quality paint material applied with a professional tool gives a better result than a high quality material applied with a medium quality tool :)
The brush is an indispensable tool for painting due to the ability to penetrate hard-to-reach places (for example, corners, small holes, behind radiators, when cutting, etc.). To start the repair or painting, it is necessary to have several brushes of different hardness, shape and application. And to ensure optimal and effective application, brushes must have special properties.
In order to get an optimal coating result, the brush must have certain quality characteristics:
- good absorption of paint
- good and even distribution
- high stability of the hair shape
- endurance
In order for the brush to meet these requirements, it must consist of a certain material and have a certain structure.
Materials play a special role here. Absolutely every paint brush consists of the following parts:
Handle: Quality and comfort is directly related to the quality of the paintwork. The best option - a well-polished (not varnished) handle made of durable beech wood with an ideal balance of shape, length and weight.
Clip: The main task of the clip is to give and maintain the correct shape of the bristles. Due to the tightness of the crimping, the bristles do not lose their shape for a long time and the paints protect the handle, respectively the hand from lightening.
Bristles: The main component in a brush. The result of dyeing directly depends on the type and quality of the bristles. It is very important to choose the brush depending on the type of paint material. The following types of fibers are distinguished: natural, artificial and mixed (natural + artificial). Each of these types shows the best result with a certain paint material.
Types of brushes:
- Paint brushes for water-based paints
- Solvent based coating brushes
- Brushes for working with primers, antiseptics, azure varnishes
- Universal paint brushes
- Brushes for working with large areas (badanarka)
- Brushes for painting corner surfaces and hard-to-reach places
- Brushes for working with facades of buildings
- Brushes for painting precise paint jobs and lines
To work with water-based paints and varnishes, we recommend using painting tools with synthetic fibers. The water contained in the paint does not affect the artificial fibers, does not deform and does not lose its shape during the execution of painting and repair work. Brushes with bristles made of completely natural fibers become fluffy and shapeless under the action of water. As a result, when applying paint coatings, streaks are formed and it becomes impossible to obtain a high-quality coating.
To work with solvent-based paint materials, paint brushes with special artificial fibers or mixed (natural fibers + synthetic) should be used.
Tools with fully synthetic fibers optimally distribute paints on the surface. Holds its shape 5 times longer than natural bristles when working with solvents.
Mixed bristles (a mixture of artificial and natural bristles) are one of the most acceptable options when working with alkyd varnishes: the natural fiber collects and holds the paint/varnish, and the synthetic one increases performance by evenly distributing the material on the surface.
An important role is played by the indicator of the elasticity of the bristles, since solvent-based paints and varnishes are thicker and more viscous than water-based ones. The shorter length of the hair increases the elasticity, and hence the convenient distribution of the paint on the surface.
The best option when working with liquid coatings, both water-based and solvent-based, are paint brushes with combination bristles. Artificial bristles do not deform the brush under the influence of water when applying water-based paints and varnishes, and natural fibers retain large volumes of paint materials.
Corner brushes for corner coloring. They are suitable for working with both alkyd varnishes and water-based paints. The curved shape and extended handle allow the craftsman to color hard-to-reach areas with ease.
To increase productivity when painting the facade, use a professional facade brush. Good brushes for facades consist of two parts: an inner chamber filled with premium quality natural fibers and an outer contour made of synthetics. In this way, the brush perfectly absorbs, holds the material and spreads it evenly over the surface.

Brushes with a beveled edge have been developed especially for processing narrow areas, mainly for cutting off the painted surfaces and high-quality and uniform painting of corners. This brush is absolutely essential when applying narrow stripes and coloring small areas. Thanks to the beveled shape of the bristles, the lines are smooth and clean. High-quality artificial fibers ensure uniform coloring of the surface.
